Of course LOOT is great for setting up a load order but after initial setup it shouldn't be run again because it can shift things around after adding or updating a mod. When LOOT showed that it was far better to analyze each mod and place mods accordingly. That guide recommends categories which is fine and was common before LOOT was introduced which made everyone question it's results because they thought mods had to be grouped together. That's why I say to read them once - get the best practice type info - look at recommended mods - then experiment on your own.

The combinations of the thousands of mods, the thousands of users, the thousands of hardware setups equals billions of possible load order requirements and possibilities. Read many of them and you quickly realize there is no one-size-fits-all load order. If you read one and practice what it preaches you will end up with a headache and a game that doesn't work.
